"If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me." - Matthew 16:24

"To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, 'If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.'" - John 8:31

"Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples 

and said: 'Whoever wants to follow me must deny 

themselves and take up their cross and follow me.'"

And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. - Luke 14:27

Moreover, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
